Journey Worship, the CD by Mark Stortvedt, is an iconic album that calms the spirit. Songs weave and tell stories about the songwriter’s relationship with his spiritual calling bringing hope to those who listen.

The artist is a gifted composer that has the ability to write melodies in many genres that “stick with you”. His rich vocals, use of harmony and love for rhythm make his music fun and inspiring at the same time.

The artist is both a pastor and a therapist who has successfully founded Oasis Counseling International, an organization, that does holistic counseling from a Judeo-Christian perspective. Mark serves as the Executvie Director of a staff of 38 employees who serve 22 counties from three locations across northern Nebraska. He along with his wife, both have acheived their doctorate degrees and have traveled internationally doing training in pastoral/professional counseling and marriage and family seminars in Romania, Turkey, Cuba and Sweden. He also has presented Spiritual Journey Seminars in Turkey, Mexico and Cuba as well as other organizations in Northeast Nebraska.

The artist's training in both jazz and classical music is obvious as he brings these worlds together creating a fresh new sound. Two years ago through the encouragement of his nephew, Benjamin Newburn, Mark began seriously recording songs he had written over the years that related to his personal journey. When Gilli Moon and Matt Thorne of Los Angeles, CA, heard his music they also saw the value in Mark’s work and became the Producer and Associate Producer of Mark’s debut album: Journey Worship.
