Martha Rabbit is the pseudonym of the German duet Michael Allert and Wolfgang Rohdenburg. The album contains six titles with play lengths between 6 and 16 minutes. Inside of the booklet an impressive key arsenal jumps in the eye which is used to present wide-flat electronic sound sceneries. No organ, no piano, but massive synthesizer application. Also some atmospheric Mellotronsounds are to be found which are probably generated by a certain Manikin Electronic Memotron. And then with it the name Mario nice woods which is to be assigned to the name Manikin also falls.
By the way, 'Pyyrhogaster' is already her second album, the debut 'Akaba' comes from 2005. Both musicians find time to let unfold the titles. Though this leads to the fact that I hold one or other track for a kink too long advisable, however, this is rather typical for genre and is so critical by no means that a too long-winded composition manner would let arise rash considerable boredom. The titles are influenced partly by the Berlin school, at good moments it reminds me a little of albums like 'Stratosfear'. On the other hand, there are also a few passages which can remind to some extent of arrangements of Progtiteln.
'Pyrrhogaster' offers a well counterbalanced mixture of tuneful part and atmospheric sound sceneries, presented mostly in the temperate tempo.
