Album Notes

Martin Dale has the last 8 years toured constantly, mainly in Scandinavia and Britain, with a one-man-and-a-guitar show that has earned him a loyal following in many areas due to his energetic, eccentric and charismatic live performances. "Fisk" is the first solo album he has released - although he has performed and recorded with many other artists and bands - and features a selection of his own songs in a mostly acoustic setting. The songs are mostly about life-decisions and self-development, with a message of positivity and action, and are decorated by elequent trad. tunes performed on mandola and violin (Louise Vangsgaard on the fiddle). The folk elements are balanced out by the appearance for the first time of Martin's band, who guest on a number of the songs, giving a more rocky lift to the album.
