Album Notes

This album represents a collage of very popular jazz standards which I really enjoy playing as well as listening to. The very relaxing style of the trumpet with the rhythm section is soothing and warm. The musicians on this album are Duffy Jackson on drums, Dennis Marks on bass, Jim Gasier on piano and of course the very recognizable sound of Melton Mustafa on trumpet. This small band setting is a far distant project from the usual big band sounds of the Melton Mustafa Orchestra. However, this album shows the versatility of Mustafa in a more relaxed setting.
