Eleven original songs. Many sound like they should be movie soundtracks.
First tune, "If You Walk" is a hauntingly beautiful song. Every song is different and equally captivating.
"Free," is a beautiful blues song with a moving harmonica solo. "Move On Down The Line" is a rocking guitar song.
Great harmonies on this cd by Melvena and award winning Darrin Vincent, who was a member of Ricky Skaggs Grammy winning band and has worked with Dolly Parton and many others.
This cd, "Just One Little Kiss," produced by Multi Platinum Grammy award winning Producer/Guitarist Pete Anderson, who won gold records with Dwight Yoakam and worked with Roy Orbison, Lucinda Williams, Rosie Flores and many others. Pete is a Blues guitarist, Roots music producer.
Hargus "Pig" Robbins plays keyboard on this cd. Pig, award winning legend, has played for George Jones, Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, Bob Dylan, Loretta Lynn, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Tanya Tucker, Crystal Gayle, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles and many more.
Bob "Boo" Bernstein plays steel guitar. His credits include the soundtrack of, "Brokeback Mountain," Tanya Tucker's, "My Turn," among others.
Sara Watkins, who spent 2 decades as 1/3 of the band Nickel Creek, plays fiddle on this cd.
Skip Edwards, award winning keyboard and steel player, has worked with Dwight Yoakam, Johnny Rivers, Chris Hillman, Bruce Willis and the Accelerators, Roy Orbison and k.d. lang, Meat Puppets, Michelle Shocked and more.
Paul Eckman played bass, Tim Hasler drums, Mike Murphy piano.
"Wash Your Hands In The Water" is a great original gospel song. "Without Love," is an original bluegrass country tune.
"Every Time I Turn My Back" has a piercing fiddle solo by Sara Watkins. "If Tears Were Crimes," is a Melvena original, classic Hank Sr type song.
