Album Notes

Celtic singer, Michael Londra is partnering with Concern Worldwide to release a Christmas album and dvd. The Oct 26 release, BEYOND THE STAR will feature 11 tracks of Holiday classics by the ethereal lead voice of Riverdance on Broadway and a film of Michael s last trip to Haiti as ambassador of Concern Worldwide. Produced by Steve Skinner, the album marks the end of a very busy year for Michael. His voice also featured with some of the worlds greatest singers on the Universal Records release Arias. He headed up a massive China tour in the spring. BEYOND THE STAR features classic tracks like The Wexford Carol (his hometown Christmas song), In the Bleak Mid Winter, a Gaelic version of Silent Night and his own carol sung by choirs worldwide Beyond The Star. The last track of the album is a live recording of Michael , aged 10 with the Wexford Male Voice Choir singing Little Donkey Concern Worldwide, is an aid organization working with the poorest of the poor in 28 countries worldwide, Michael has witnessed absolute poverty in countries Haiti, the poorest country in the Western World. The holiday gift set features a dvd of Michaels last trip to Haiti, the poorest country in the Western world. With a particular focus on the lack of access to clean water the film deals with the problems families in particular children have in transporting water daily to drink and cook.
