The songs were written and crafted by the band over a period of about 8 months. The basic philosophy behind each song being that it had to flow both rythmically and also melodically. Combining both these elements to support lyrical content, that at times could be a straight narrative and at others a montage of imagery, letting the listener define their own meaning. Some songs contain magical accidents, that happened during the recording process and these have been retained to give the songs a sense of freshness. The songs once written were recorded quickly and again this adds to the freshness and vitality that each song possesses. The songs have been carefully layered and detailed to provide the listener with a multi-dimensional listening experience. Even though the songs are easy to listen to, upon repeat listening new details reveal themselves and the listening experience evolves and grows for the listener.
