Album Notes

This DVD is second of its character. The idea to bring different people from different countries brought up long time ago. In 2007 we released first DVD with two guest Zacharias Spyridakis (Cretan Lyra) and Ariel Qassis (Qanun). These two guest brought us their own feeling and playing of traditional music. This time we invited great classical kemence player from Turkey Derya Turkan and his style and beautiful sound of his instrument enriched each song. The whole concert conception was to play different song from the different background but familiar to every guest such as. Greek songs from Turkey (Karotseri, Stopa kai Sto Ksanaleo) or Cretan version of Turkish song (Chalepianos Manes). We also included our compositions to show people how we feel traditional music today. We try to continue in the traditional types of songs in our own view. We try to cross the boards and inspire with different feelings, backgrounds, styles from the Greece, Turkey and many other countries.
