A delightfully romantic look at the cowboy lifestyle we think we'd like to live. It's as if this trio was living in McMurtry's Lonesome Dove, sometimes humorous and at other times thoughtful and sentimental. The title track "Ridin' Back to Yesterday" is a swingy number that speaks of trading in the traffic-choked suburbs for sage and tumbleweeds. "I Want to Live Out West" is a yodeling tune that expresses longing to be the kind of cowboy in the old Western movies. "Utah Moon," "Blue Prairie," and "Prairie Nights" evoke a touch of romance, while "Quick Nick" is downright funny and "Little Pony Boy" tugs at a mother's heartstrings. In all, this album presents 14 original songs that will have you singing and swinging along.
