Our Daily Haze : Happy Illusions To You!

A "movie for your ears" reminiscent of those Zappa/Mothers records from the late sixties and early seventies. O.D.H. blends many musical styles with Davis' usual off beat sense of humor running through out the entire production.

The sound quality is top knotch and the production is as well.
Solid arrangements, excellent musicianship and amusing lyrics make "Happy Illusions To You!" another classic from the VDM stable.
Vinny Davis (www.vinnydavismusic.com) continues to "make records like they used to..."

Kick back, pour a glass (or whatever vice of choice you prefer) and prepare to be thoroughly entertained!

A sonic landscape of epic proportions! Our Daily Haze is in rare form here. Part Stravinsky, part Zappa, part Spike Lee ( The former not the latter), Vinnie Davis is a visionary!

Now for more feedback from more people who've heard the HITY! album (as of Dec 4, 2009) ... from Joshua, in Mass:"So I gave your CD a spin...I'm very impressed! You guys made a damn good record. It's definitely a throwback album, little Doors/Frampton-esque...Nice voice over on the message machine, lol." ... from Ruth Anne, NYC: "Thanks for including me in this. I really enjoyed listening to the music. I realize I’m not exactly your target market, but for what it’s worth" ... from Ness, Bronx: "Your music sounds great."

Here's feedback I have received so far (as of Dec 1, 2009) about the "Happy Illusions to You!" album ... from Martin, in N.Y.C: "Nice---I love the overall aural wash---a little bit of Zappa, a little bit of The Nails, a little bit of psychedelia that I can't quite identify! I'm buying it!" from Anthony in L.A.: Hey Robert! I listened to it! I thought it was pretty good. I liked the little sounds in the backgrounds. Some of the songs reminded me of Jesus & Mary Chain a little bit, which was cool. I liked the instrumentals a lot! The vocals and acoustic guitar might be a little loud, I don't know. But overall, you guys sound pretty original. This is just my first impression. If you want, I could give you a more specific critique later. Let me know what you think about what I think! Hahaha!!! from Ben in N.Y.C.: Hey Robert. I'm checking out your music right now. Awesome man! I'm loving 'We, the Dream'...Glad that you can make music with friends that's a real luxury. Keep going and let me know if you play live in the near future. from David, N.Y.C.: Nice! Good songwriting, sophitication, mellow grooves, smooth vocals. Congrats; all of you can be proud. from Nicky in CT: I'm glad I finally had the time to sit and listen to this little opus. I played it from start to finish, and found the experience very enjoyable. Good tunes and a good vocalist, reminds me a bit of the Rocky Horror vocalist at times... Richard O'Brien. I never did hear Vinny D before, and am impressed. It's well recorded and produced. Nice bass there too! "We, the Dream" is very Lennon as you pointed out, a stand out. Also like the the opening track - kinda reminds me of Big Star. I like the Floydish "Us and Them" piano type break during "Your Alibi" - it too is a McCartney type yes, but more Floyd. It's good fun. Thanks for letting me hear it. Chris in L.A.: "You guys all sound very tight. I especially lack tracks one and three. Much of the album reminds me of the Grays, if you remember them, Jason Faulkner was the lead vocalist. Very brave of you on track 6."
