Album Notes

PaddyMac consists of husband and wife team of Patsy and Gil McNaughton. Patsy's people come from Northern Ireland and Gil's from the Argyle section of Scotland. Far From Home is their first CD. It consists of some well known Celtic tunes and some that may be new to the listener. The ballads are very emotionally moving and the upbeat tunes will make you want to get up and dance. The CD includes one original tune titlled Maeve's Grave. Written by Beth Leachman it tells the story of two lovers and their attempt to re-unite. Gil and Patsy have both performed with The Chieftains, Cherish The Ladies, and The Tannahil Weavers.
