Album Notes

Lunar Galleon is a collection of 'songs' recorded in 2008. Paint and Copter create songs via a process of continued improvisations that later get edited and overlayed in order to create apparent compositions. These edited compositions are then re-learned by the band for live performances. This album contains a wide assortment of textures, from pure ambient pads to hard-driving disco beats, to atonal grooves. However, there is alway an underlying song or groove that keeps the music together. With guest vocalist Mae Starr, Lunar Galleon alternates male and female vocals that allows for an expanded palette.

Featuring:
Andy Brown - drums, bass, vocals, lyrics, keys
Dave Tollefson - guitar, effects
Jason Frank - guitar, lap steel, effects

Also:
Mae Starr - vocals and lyrics on Plans for Escape, Stunned, Alchemy Lab. Keys on Stunned.
Monte Trent Allen - clarinet on Mantafahrer, bass on Alchemy Lab
Jesse Stevens - flute on The Blood Stone
