I am a New York-based writer, educator and musician. On the music front, I specialize on Indian classical and semi-classical, and particularly Tagore songs (songs of Nobel Poet Rabindranath Tagore -- an institution in music, art and literature).
"Aro Ektu Bosho" (Stay A Little More) is my first solo album with two CDs and twenty songs. It is my small way to observe the great poet's 150th birth anniversary. Hope you hear the wonderful, peaceful, inspirational Tagore and read my English translations too. (I shall send you my translations on request.)
The instrumental music accompanying my songs -- sitar, sarod, esraj, flute, keyboard, tabla and percussion arranged and played by gifted, young musicians -- is a prized asset on the album. I hope you like it. You can use my songs or the instrumental music in dance and ballet choreography or movies and plays too. I believe they'll give you beautiful ambiance. I hope you get to use them.
