Background on Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick’s varied career has taken her from Detroit’s WJR “Make Way For Youth” weekly radio show to the glamorous Detroit Playboy Club. In the early years she was a contract vocalist for television commercials in Detorit. As “Sandy Beach’ she was , for a short period, a prospective new artist for MGM Records. Fitzpatrick left the ‘business’ to marry and raise her five children. She reentered the entertainment industry years later as a cabaret singer, known for her humorous patter and strong stage presence. She has performed thorughout the North East: Provincetown, Boston, New York City and Chicago, Denver, and most recently she debuted her jazz style at the famed Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Jam in London.
Her cabaret show “ I’m Single Again, and This Time it’s Not My Fault!" Premiered at “Don’t Tell Mama’s” in New York City. The show received rave reviews. “Best show I’ve seen this year.or ever! Because it exemplifies to perfection what a cabaret show is all about!” Stu Hamstra/ Cabaret Hotline.
