Album Notes

The process of writing and recording music for a CD is a solitary, inward one, rife with moments of discovery. Much of what I discovered while working on this project seemed to be more of an uncovering of information I have always had, but had pushed into the background in the pace of day-to-day living. As the process unfolded, it was obvious that I was "learning what I already know"; that I create my world through my thoughts, as we all do, and my ship is sailing in the direction I steer it in - it is not merely tossed about by winds and chance. This long-held and yet recently-rediscovered information helped open doors in the composing process that brought great enjoyment and an deep sense of peace as I composed and recorded. So the title of the CD accurately describes the journey from its inception to its completion. I hope when you listen you understand.
