This song was released on my "Mystic Dreams" CD. The song is about the way being in the Vietnam war, right there in that theater of combat, had life changing effects on my brother Bob. I remember the way he was prior to him going off to war, and how he had changed after his return. War changes the lives of it's participants in many ways, the most dramatic... sadly being death. However, sometimes the experience of being in a horrific situation changes individuals in other ways, none of which are probably very positive. In Bob's case, the changes were those often expressed as a "Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome"... insidiously infiltrating all areas of his life and changing things forever over the years that followed. The final change, roughly thirty years after the war had ended, being his early death in his fifties... no doubt a result from the variety of war related exposures to everything from experiences to perhaps things like "Agent Orange".
