Peter Askim's score for Patrick Mignano's short film "Absaroka" embodies the spirit of open spaces, hardened lives, and wrenching moral ambiguity that helped the film win the 2010 Wyoming Short Film Contest. Paying homage to the tradition of Western film scores, the music updates the emotional sound world to our time, keeping the characters and their difficult choices immediate, vital and painfully real.
