Album Notes

This Compilation CD features songs chosen by ten different folk artists. This album was put together to shed some light on and further the reach of Philadelphia’s folk music scene. The songs featured are previously unreleased, alternative versions, live recordings, and songs that appear on EP’s and full length albums. These artists, who often contribute and collaborate on each other’s music, aim to give ten unique perspectives on how they deliver their “arrow”, their message. Along with many others that may appear on future compilations, they have created an environment that fosters creativity and encourages growth, making the soul of community their lynchpin. Often playing shows together, you can experience their music first hand all over Philadelphia and beyond on any given day of the week.
