Album Notes

Po' Girl Live was put together for all you Po' Girl fans! All the most requested songs were taken and put on one disk, so you can sit and listen to them like you are at a Po' Girl show. The recordings are from four different places, from shows in 2008 and 2009.

Tracks 1, 4, 9 & 11 are from April 25, 2009 - a show in Santa Fe, NM. This show was one of the best and most fun shows Po' Girl has done in a while. Our brother band, JT & the Clouds are on this recording - Til It's Gone and Prairie Lullaby are two songs written by our favorite living song-writer, JT Lindsey. JT & the Clouds are amazing, and Po' Girl loves to do shows with them whenever possible.

Tracks 2 & 7 were recorded on December 7, 2008 at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley. Really fun show, at the venue that has now been closed because they made a bigger, better Freight & Salvage.

Tracks 3, 5, 6 and 10 were recorded on Valentines Day in 2009 at the Tri States Public Radio in Macomb, Michigan. The audience was told to be very quiet for this show, as it was recorded for the radio. These songs include JJ Jones as the drummer! JJ joined the band in February 2009- she's a wild and dynamic drummer - if you've seen her play, you know what I am talking about.

Finally, track 8 was recorded in Alb, NM on April 25, 2008 with JT & the Clouds.

If you've seen Po' Girl live in concert, you know about their powerful, passionate and spirited live show...we hope that some of that was captured on this CD for you to enjoy at home.
