As previous leader of the legendary power-pop-punk band Psychotic Youth, and the ever so famous rockabilly trio The Buckshots – RED WEST is back!

This time Jorgen Red Westman is backed up by the 5 piece band HOT RHYTHM containing Tommy Olsson (drums), Roine Lundstrom (stand up bass), Per Eriksson (piano), Philip Mauritszon (saxophone) and Mary West (vocals).

This is RED WEST ¬rst solo record and entitled RED WEST & HOT RHYTHM. The album features 15 new original songs all written by Jorgen Red Westman. Two of the tracks feature his wife MARY WEST with her cool voice bringing us back to the ‘50's and ‘60's, an era where the whole album has its roots, although dressed in a modern suit. And just as his previous 5 albums with The Buckshots - you’re given hard-edged, twangy rock 'n' roll, with the sound of juvenile delinquents hepped up on hormones, drenched in pomade and sporting sideburns as sharp as Tijuana switchblades!

Besides the high driving opening track “Boogie Woogie Flu” - you’re given the howling desires of “Woo At Night,” the hell ¬ring droptune-blues of “Daddy’s Got Himself A Brand New Automobile,” the jumping blues of “No Fuzz’n’no Fight,” the sweet Spector avoured ballad of “Blue Nights Without You” with Mary West on vocals, pitch black country in “Broken Dreams,” the in-your-face rockabilly of “I Call On You,” the guitar-slingin’ melodies of “Heads Up” and much much more!

Special guest on the album is Gunnar Frick of Ray Davies Band (steel guitar) and Thommy Borssén on boogie woogie piano. The album was mixed by Anders Gustafsson and Jorgen Red Westman. All songs are written and arranged, as well as recorded and produced by Jorgen Red Westman. Cover artwork is done by Dutch artist venividivince.com who is the man behind artwork for Reverend Horton Heat, Guana Batz, Batmobile etc.
