Rant ‘n’ Rave are a British band from Essex. They’ve been playing live together for a good many years and cover pretty much all styles of music. However, as the name suggests, their debut self penned CD, Americana Shakedown, focuses on Americana music and has everything from straight Country to Rhythm 'n' Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll. There is also a sprinkling of Cajun, Folk, Honky-Tonk and Country Rock in there and some of their influences shine through like a beacon. Listen out for Dwight Yoakam, Nick Lowe, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Dave Edmunds and Hank Williams to name just a few.
Play it once and you’ll think it’s OK. Play it twice and you’re hooked. When you listen to it you can’t help but move your feet and you’ll be humming and singing these songs long after the CD’s finished.
