Album Notes

Singer songwriter, Rebeka Jaqua grew up roaming the wild windy ridge tops and redwood canyon creeks of the Santa Cruz Mountains of Northern California. It was there she drew much of the inspiration for her poetic song lyrics. Her folk musician father and talented singer song writing brothers as well as many wonderful musicians she has played with over the years have equally contributed to her style of music. This collection of songs were originally recorded to profit a Bay Area environmental action group by the encouragement of her dear friend Peter Drekmeier. Just after the release of this album back in 1997, Rebeka's life took a colossal change: She met future life partner, married him and moved away to France where she now lives on an isolated organic farm raising their son among other things. She is now working on a new crop of music, soon to be harvested and delivered.
