"High Energy", is what the critics and music fans are calling this Ky native, who is an artist, songwiter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Selling numerous amounts of CD's throughout the midwest and the south, Rhoney G. is now ready to launch a new sound and live performance to a sometimes fluffy, pop driven, boy bandish music industry. "I'd like to think that the term 'Band' will come back to what it was back in the day", says the artist, who sold his first CD solely on the internet and at his live performances. "It was kind of a test, to see what I could do, and where I would fit in the industry". When on the stage, Rhoney makes performing 3 one hour shows, seems effortless. "I get tired just watching him", says one fan. "He's like that energizer rabbit, he just keeps going and going". When asked how would he describe his show, Rhoney responds; "I just want U to leave feeling like U got something. So many shows today are so boring and plain, U get tired of sitting or standing....U just want to go home!! I try to involve my crowds as much as possible, when they get hype, that just gives me another boost of energy!!"
With his new CD scheduled for a 2006 release, Rhoney wrote and produced it himself, just like his first collection of songs titled 'Rhoney G. EP'. "On this new one.... I wanted to show people who I really am, and not try to be a rebel and do things like I did on the first one. I really liked those songs, but that isn't how I would have really done it." The new CD entitled 'MY STYLE' is a collection of songs ranging from sexy r&b grooves, heavy hip hop club themes, and funked out rock jams, all with radio driven hooks and catchy melodies. "I think that this one is going to be more urban....but with a sound that will be my own". As U can guess, Rhoney's influences can definitely be traced back on many of the tracks." I listen to so many different things....its really hard to not hear a persons influences in their music. I won't mention them, I'll let my folks figure that out for themselves."
Rhoney G. has shared the stage with such artist's as; Babyface, Salt and Pepa, Kool and the Gang, and many others to name just a few. He has also toured throughout many regions of the U.S. and the Carribean. "I think that the more I perform, the more I grow as an artist and entertainer. The day I stop growing, is the day I call it quits." Catch Rhoney G. and his new CD 'MY STYLE' in your town soon. U wont be disappointed!!
