Texas Music album served with tight lyrics and a dash of humor from a native son. Redd Volkaert provides hot roadhouse guitar licks and Earl Poole Ball handles honky tonk piano chops. Albert and Gage dish out rich backup vocals. Tasty!

After early successes with his college rock and roll band, the "Techniques" out of Lubbock, and as a solo singer/songwriter at Kerrville, Rio has re-emerged from musical retirement. With deep affection for his native state, Rio met with Chris Gage of MoonHouse Studio in Austin to bring you this great collection of original Texas Music.
The incredible Telecaster Master, Redd Volkaert, creates guitar magic on everything from the roadhouse rockers to a sweet waltz and the "spooky" mood of an old Indian's tale. "Mr. Honky-Tonk Piano", Earl Poole Ball, rocks with his authentic classic barroom and boogie sounds, while Glenn Fukunaga on bass and Bruce Logan on drums lay down a bedrock bottom. The immensely talented and creative Chris Gage offers additional instrumentation with guitar, dobro, accordion, bass and brushes. Christine Albert and husband Chris top the vocals off with their terrific backup harmonies. If you like tight lyrics with a touch of humor, you're sure to get a kick out of this CD.
