Album Notes

Robot Turbo Marie is the recording project of one Ian Kitney, accomplished studio and live session drummer based in Melbourne Australia. Ian has recorded and toured with Tim Rogers and the Temperance Union for the last 10 years and also plays guitar with Ross McLennan and the New World Sympathetique.

Robot Turbo Marie's debut album, CINEMATOPOEIA, is a concept album dealing with the outrageous ideas of Erich von Daniken in his book 'Chariots of the Gods?'. It also features as the soundtrack to the short film CINEMATOPOEIA, soon to be appearing in various film festivals in Australia and Japan.

The album and short film are due for release soon on the Creative Differences - Music & Film label, but you can get in early and download right here for those tram/train trips into the city.

In the recording Ian Kitney plays guitars, drums, synths, some vocals and various other noises through strange little things... Lenna Kawazu sings beautifully and creates an offbeat atmosphere that's very hard to beat... Midori Wayama also does classic vocals on You Are Not Alone... Bruce Haymes plays THE Hammond on Cinematopoeia...
