It has been too long since Rod did a solo album. The traditional cowboy songs flow so well and he has added some original material, some of which blends in so well it sounds like it has been sung around the campfires for years. Shows that he is truly a Lubbock boy as well with some more modern material, both original and a remake of Joe Ely's Indian Cowboy that is truly Rod's with his unique airy soft style.
