Russell Roberts resides in Broome, the world famous pearling port in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia. Broome is a town renowned for its multi-cultural heritage, and the Kimberley is a region considered one of the world’s last wild frontiers.

Russell’s creative inspiration has been drawn from the multi-cultural community he lives within, the indigenous culture and the Kimberley region’s potent natural environment. Broome is widely known for its music, a fusion of numerous ethnic music styles.

These musical elements are evident in Russell’s music, poignant compositions with unique melodies and powerful, insightful lyrics. His songs tell stories of the land and people, capturing a way of life very few have had the privilege to experience, as well as exploring the delights, struggles and issues all individuals contend within our global community.
