Album Notes

This is the first of many beat CDs that this talented Instrumental Producer/Dj plans to release. She has been studying the art of beat construction since age 14. The summer before she was to start the 9th grade she purchased a set of Gemini XL500II turntables and began teaching her self the basic fundamentals of mixing and scratching on vinyl. Upon starting high school she enrolled in the schools band as a percussionist and during marching season was part of the Drumline. This enabled her to understand the theory of music and how all the components worked together.
Influenced by the likes of Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and the Neptunes she began to embark on the ever changing task of creating beats herself. Not knowing all of the tools of the trade she began to use the only thing she could find at her disposal and that was a Sony Play-Station1 and the MTV Music Generator Program. Having no one around to show how not to use the machine she began to use the machine in ways that we think creators never intended for it to be used. By the time she was 19 years of age she had not only learn how to sample abstract sounds off of CDs, but also learned to truncate and manipulate those sounds into something of her own creation all the while bringing a freshness and a bottomless pit of inspiration to the sound of hip-hop music. Now with an upgraded arsenal of tools from makers Korg, Roland, Yamaha and a host of others as well as road experience as a DJ, she is now ready to introduce her sounds to the world.
Her name? We call her F4LIS....DJ F4LIS. (Effortless) "JustAnotherWordForNatural"
