St. Mad is an extremely talented group of musicians that seamlessly navigates through various genres of music with strong vocals and instrumentals as well as delightful and captivating harmonies. From the light and calypso-like "Live" to the alternative rock cover of "Across the Universe," Saint Mad shines and will impress you with their musical ability and thoughtful lyrics. This album is a pleasure to listen to from start to finish! (MY favorites on the disc are: "Canyon Song," "Live," "Not for a Long Time," and "God Gives You What You Need"...take a listen!!)

A definite hit...
author: Symon
I really love the lush vocal melodies and crafty horn arrangements - true entertainment. You can tell everyone in the band is having a good time. The upbeat lyrics and happy melodies are a definite hit, too. (I live on the West Coast, but this one band I want to see perform live!)

Pop music that will tickle your ears
author: Gary Gray
This album is a breath of fresh pop air. This is a group of 4 extraordinarily gifted musicians and vocalists who have mastered the craft of making listenable, hummable pop that lifts you up. This isn't pop geared to the 18-24 demographic. This is an album unapologetically geared to a mature audience. The instrumentation absolutely tickled my ears. You don't hear a lot of euphonium-trumpet-keys-guitar combos in popular music. But it totally works. The arrangements are clever. The vocals are tastefully done, both lead and background. The sound of this record is crisp and clean, letting you hear each unique sound as it's presented. I would (and have) recommend this album to anyone who appreciates well-crafted songs, performed by talented musicians who are obviously having fun while making great music. Buy this album, give it a listen, and I guarantee you'll hear something that will put a smile on your face. In my case, at least one of the songs has wedged it way into my head and won't let me forget it. No worries. It's a good feeling.

Quite an astounding mix
author: Andy Harbison
This CD mixes the whimsical and serious, folk and jazz, originals and standards, spirituality and the human condition, all the while putting a euphonium where the bass guitar is supposed to be, and a jazz trumpet as the icing on the cake, better than it's ever been done before. Ok, it has never been done before, but when you hear it you'll wonder why. This is positively delightful in every respect. Jim Harris is a classic folksinger (with a folksinger’s voice if you like that sorta thing which I do) and the folk songs (especially Not for a Long Time) are as good as it gets. Martha Michael and Molly Mahoney have as pretty of voices as you'll find anywhere, and the three-part harmony just works. Martha's and Molly's solo vocal efforts are simply beautiful. Check out some samples and you won't be disappointed. When I first acquired this disc I was a little skeptical as it comes in a simple cardboard sleeve. Well, everything they saved in packaging was clearly put into production, which is completely first rate.
