The Big Box of Love(liner notes from the actual CD!)

Well, this is my new one. The music dates from 2005-or-so to the present, and was all done in my home studio. I guess you
could liken it to a Tyler Perry movie , in that I played all the parts. From there it was remixed and mastered by
Dave Cain in his studio(much more high-tech than mine!) at the Hoogland Center for the Arts.

It's a pretty mixed bag of nuts: you'll find elements of jazz, rock, and classical music in here, sometimes stirred
together, sometimes merely juxtaposed ,but all under one roof. All put in one big box as a total listening experience.

The title of this CD, as it turns out, came from somewhere deep in left field, but ended up being a dead-on shot as far as
the reasoning behind this CD(combining disparate musical elements into one semi-unified whole)
It was actually a comment made by a co-worker, regarding some work delegated to us
from 'above': "oh look, they sent us a big box of love", delivered of course in a voice dripping with sarcasm..

Some remarks are gone even before they reach your ears, and others get in your digestive system and re-emerge as--well, CD titles. She had a number of good quips, this co-worker, some of which as well may have been CD-titleworthy. 'The big box of love' happened to catch me just right.

Or just wrong.
