Scattergun doesn’t mind that it’s music blurs several genres. The band has always put the songs first and never tried to fit them into any type of formula, and their debut album Life at Fantasy Lounge is no exception to that lack of rules. Whether it’s the country-wash of steel guitars in Runway 4-22, the 70’s classic rock careen of Killing The Cure, or the all-for-nothing garage tilt of Thirty Pieces, the band just writes and records great music – and leaves the categorization of their craft to others. This is not a band in search of an identity, but it is a band that is completely comfortable playing what it likes – while being slightly unpredictable in the process.
