Album Notes

As a long time lover of soul music Scott Seabock has captured the energy and passion of the 60s and 70s genre with a collection of original and cover tunes on “Every Shade Of Soul”. This CD delivers a wide variety of soul/funk songs from the golden era of R&B music that touches on the sounds of Motown/Stax-Volt and The Philly sound of Gamble and Huff. From the first notes of the funky dance groove "Take it as it Comes" these tracks let it all hang out with soaring, soulful vocals, gritty organ and guitar and of course the horns man, the horns! Uptempo and funky or slow smooth ballads, this CD has that and more to satisfy any lover of old school soul music.

A classic Sound

The music on this album sounds like the classic Soul music of the 60's and 70's. In other words - great music. Scott Seabock's vocals are warm and souful and he uses real instruments. As Dave Cole the editor of 'In The Basement' said in his review "Scott Seabock is no copyist...this a heartfelt homage to the music he grew up with." Mr Cole's recommendation was good enough for me. Don't take our word for it just go buy the album you won't be disappointed.
