Recording artist and ASCAP award winning singer/songwriter Sean Galuszka crafts an alternative rock road trip packed with murder, addiction, sex and betrayal in this dynamic 7 track EP.
"gravityroad" traverses the alternative rock soundscape from a country- inspired love waltz (“Town”) to early REM pop (“Out of Focus”) to the anthemic Pearl Jam-soaring choruses of “DeSoto Pines.”
“The songs on gravityroad are little stories; snapshots in the life of a pyromaniac, runaway murderer—a fictitious character I've had in my head for years,” says Galuszka. “The collection is constructed as road trip music for your head.”
Galuskza’s music has been described by CD Baby as “early REM meets Wilco,” and Kevin Skinner of Rolling Stone claimed his songs, “perked my ears up!”
When Galuszka guest-starred on ABC’s Miracles as "Garth," a guitar -toting drifter, producer David Greenwalt was so impressed with his original music that ABC/Touchstone licensed two of his songs for the show. Now Galuszka has fans globally, from North America to Europe and Asia. He has licensed additional music to the popular CBS show Ghost Whisperer, played guitar for Carolyn Dawn Johnson in her hit CMT video single “Simple Life” and appears in the film Sissy Frenchfry, whose soundtrack features four of his original songs including the title theme song. Galuszka’s music was also featured in the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment documentary Bikers, Booze and the Big Picture.
Galuszka has opened for Matt Alber (“End of the World”, Tommy Boy Records) at Hollywood’s Hotel Café, played the House of Blues on the Sunset strip as well as staple music haunts Molly Malone’s, Room 5, Genghis Cohen, The Knitting Factory, etc.
gravityroad was produced in part by John King (music supervisor Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Blade: The Series, Ghost Whisperer) and engineered by Geoff Dunbar (drummer for The Four Postmen, owner GKD Studios) and Ryan Poulson (Music Coordinator for 61st Primetime Emmy's). Ryan Petrie, who’s worked with heavy hitters Bette Midler, Rod Stewart, and Johnny Mathis, mixed the CD and Bernie and Dale Becker who’ve mastered records for Neil Diamond, Natalie Cole, and Aretha Franklin mastered.
The EP features a host of sought-after West Coast musicians: a duet with Anna Bocci (former host of While You Were Out on TLC); guitarist Greg Carson, who has worked with the Psychedelic Furs’ Roger Morris and composed numerous scores for MGM and Sony documentaries; pianist Michael Collum, who has worked with Mary Wilson and Andrea Marcovicci, and is also an established musical director in LA theater; Sean Costello, a long-time bassist on the LA music scene; and drummer/multi intrumentalist Kahlil Sabbagh, who, in his diverse musical career, has played with many notable artists, including Frank Zappa’s former band mates Arthur Barrow, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Bunk Gardner, Tommy Mars, Don Preston, and Ike Willis.

Great album
author: Derek
I like this album a lot. Each song is like a separate story. While I am listening to the songs, I feel like I could see the visual of each one of them. And together, the songs flow like a road trip, a journey. And Mr Galuszka got some very genuine , honest and raw expression of emotions. Love, Anger, Pain, hurt ...and lots of different combination of human emotions were expressed . At the same time, I feel like they were letters the songwriter were writing to himself. It's very powerful and sensitive. It's my first album I bought on CD baby and I highly recommend it. My personal favourite is FEEL BETTER and TOWN.
