Album of the year and best of Severin's career!
author: Russ Paris
I love this album. Certainly the best of Severin's career. These ten songs showcase some of the best songwriting I've heard in a long time. My favorite track seems to change with each listening but "You Can't Fool The Moon" is simply a masterpiece. I've been a fan of Severin's for a long time but he's really outdone himself with these well-crafted tunes. And Severin's guitar playing is simply outstanding. Congratulations are in order. Buy this CD!!

Severin Browne sings very, very well. Also a fine, solid songwriter.

Severin Browne sings very, very well. He's also a fine, solid songwriter. This album has a nice variety of timbres and textures. The music, like the writing, is clean and direct. This's not mysterious. Everything is right out front. Well done.

Sweet Sounds of Severin
author: Kenny Woods
Something about the opening bars of music caught me, and I couldn't stop listening to THIS TWISTED ROAD. Maybe because I could relate so much to lines like "The bay would always lead you further out to sea: the wind, the ride, the possibility." From the rollicking and introspective opening track to the sweet acoustic "Roads," this record is is a riveting blend of intelligent, heartfelt tunes.

A musical journey that is worth the trip !
author: Laura T. Lynch of Kweevak.com
This Twisted Road takes many turns down the paths of folk, rock, country, acoustic and jazz. Severin blends these traditions into meaningful well-constructed songs. Browne sings with feeling and is backed by solid instrumentation throughout his ten-song collection. Severin writes mature, poetic, philosophical lyrics about relationships, life, faith and dreams. His music is serious, reflective and well produced. ‘Water’ flows like a smooth stream through good steel guitar leads. ‘Sweet, Stupid Dreams’ has a soft subtle beat, fine guitar work and high-quality backing vocals. ‘Strange Life’ has smooth, silky guitars, good vocal inflections that tell the story of love and pain.
This Twisted Road is a musical journey that is worth the trip!
