Sheelagh's style is a tribute to the songwriter. She makes everthing about the song and in doing so her voice becomes transcendant. My favorite is the title track as there is something compelling in her delivery that does take you dreaming. All of the tracks make fine additions to your music library.

Gorgeously mellow

This c.d. will make a wonderful, unusual gift for a baby and parents. Ms Murphy's luxuriously soothing voice will relax parents as well as babies - and as any new mom or dad will tell you, that is no mean feat in the early days.
I love the philosophy behind this album - why should the grown ups get all the good music? My favourite track is Morningtown Ride, which manages to be evocative of the innocence of early childhood but without a hint of mawkishness. I originally intended just to buy this for a friend with a new baby, but ended up wanting it for myself, too. A treat for any age.

Wonderful addition to your musical library

I was going to use 'it's about time' for my review title, but someone else beat me to it. My son was born two months ago and I began compiling a playlist of lullaby music for him before he was born. Too much music aimed at children is sickly sweet, and for the most part I've avoided those albums. But Ms. Murphy's album is different. Her voice is silky, but also rich. There's a nice nuance to these songs, and anyone would enjoy them. All of the songs are beautiful, but I am a sucker for her renditions of "Moon River" and "Dream A Little Dream of Me."
