Album Notes

The Salvation Army has a rich history of worship that needs to be preserved, translated and used. Styles and forms have changed in contemporary worship and next generation Salvationists are in danger of losing “the fight” that is indicative of Army worship.

To combat this possibility The Singing Company recorded and released their debut album, The Red Book Sessions, in June 2006. This album contains new arrangements of old songs, new melodies to old lyrics and completely original material.

These songs have travelled around the world, have been translated into other languages have been sung at weddings and funerals. They have taken on a life of their own and have helped a new generation understand the truths found in old hymns with a message that spurs worshippers to action!
