Album Notes

All American rock-and-roll band Slick Fitty wows fans both State-side and abroad with its unique blend of rock, rockabilly, country, western and swing. Playing to sold-out crowds in clubs, bars and honky-tonks, and rocking festivals and street fairs all over the Northeast, Slick Fitty gets everyone dancing, from greasers to grandmas, skinheads to hippies

Starting out 10 years ago as a straight-up rockabilly outfit, Slick Fitty toured Germany six times from 2002-2006, helping to push its 2004 release “Where the Chrome Shines Bright” into the Top 10 on the German DAT20. Now Crazy Joe Domingo and the boys are roaring back with HOT ACTION, a 13-song release that perfectly captures the band's gritty, rootsy sax-and-guitar sound. Recorded by Brett Portzer at North Sea Studios in Albany, HOT ACTION is a red-hot melting pot of American music that gives Slick Fitty fans, both here and in Europe, a solid dose of the band’s amped-up blend of rockabilly heat, country twang and ‘50s rock-and-roll.

Founding members drummer Mickey King, singer and guitar player Crazy Joe Domingo and saxophonist J-Man are still with the band, with the welcome addition of lead guitarist Million $ Bill and bassist Jaybird. Each one of these guys brings his own unique influence to the band. King drummed with hard rockers the Erotics, Domingo was with heavy metal band Treaty. J-Man played in ska/metal band Can’t Say, Million $ Bill tore it up with Johnny Rabb and the Jailhouse Rockers, and Jaybird slapped upright bass with rockabilly mainstays Rocky Velvet. All this experience makes for one helluva stage show, as the band puts together its tour in support of HOT ACTION.
