Album Notes

Slow Dazzle are a rock band. Hell yeah! They first appeared in March 2009. David Hibberd plays bass and sings, Martin Dench plays guitars and Paul Mackey hits the drums. David and Martin have been at the heart of the band from this time. There is no end to Slow Dazzle's talents - not only can they write and rehearse songs, they can also play them live and record them. Gigs at Northern Lights in Brighton and the CD EP 'Songs Of The Universe' are a testament to this.

Viva Slow Dazzle!

'Songs Of The Universe' was recorded in two separate sessions, in November 2009 and June 2010, at Soundlockers Studios in Lancing, near Brighton.

The songs were all written by Martin and David.

'Sunfighter' is a straight-ahead rock song about....very little. The band were originally called 'Sunfighter', hence the need for a song of this name.
'The Ballad Of Norbert Dentressangle And Christian Salvesen' is a paean to the brave men and women of the UK's road haulage operatives. The song also reveals the synergistic nature of the universe....
'Joanne' is a song written by Martin for his lovely wife.
'Song Of The Universe' is the band's epic (currently) and is Martin's autobiography.

The EP's cover was designed by Martin's wife Joanne.
