Steve (Stephen J. Weber) was a music major at the University of Oregon where he also studied business. It was there that he met Wedge (john Wardlaw) of the band Anti-M. Steve and Wedge shared a love for progressive rock artists like King Crimson, UK, Rush, Yes and Genesis. Wedge was so impressed with Steve's guitar work that he asked Steve to join Anti-M as the main guitarist on the albums No Waves in Hell and Positively Negative.
Sacrelicious is actually Steve's second solo effort but the first to be made available digitally. The album is a collection of instrumental works in which Steve plays all the instruments. Steve is influenced by a wide range of guitarists including Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Steve Howe, Robert Fripp, Alan Holdsworth and Andres Segovia. These influences can be heard as the styles on the album change from song to song. From the Rockabilly TEXAS TWING to BOBUNDOUGH which sounds like a cross between Brand X and Kind Crimson. There is even a cover of the Anti-M song THE LAST WAVE.
