Album Notes

This album is the first of its kind -- a classical guitar album for children. It includes several traditional nursery rhymes and folk songs that children love. In addition, it includes several classical music pieces written for children as well as three pieces written by Mozart before the age of 10.

“Stuart Buck is a very talented young guitarist with a beautiful sound.” Christopher Parkening, world-renowned classical guitarist.

A native of Arkansas, Stuart attended the University of Georgia to study classical guitar performance, receiving a B.Mus. degree in 1995 as a First Honor Graduate.‎ He then received the M.Mus. degree with highest honors in 1997. During this time, he studied with the noted guitar teacher John Sutherland.

He was a National Finalist in the 1994 American String Teachers Association Competition, and a winner of the 1997 University of Georgia Concerto Competition. ‎He has performed in numerous recitals, both as a soloist and with other chamber musicians.
