”Facing an audience, you don’t necessarily have to be the greatest band in the world, but it’s essential to act like you are. Sugar Louise is that kind of band. They aim straight for your throat with their catchy songs and outgoing stage-performance. The band comes with playfully bright stunts, pink balloons, soap bubbles, free candy for the audience – and a long, skinny singer, who’s both cool and witty, and is the natural born frontman. With Sugar Louise there’s no looking back, just go, go, GO! They play punk – no doubt about that!”
– Ole Jacob Hoel, Adressa (N).
Since their successful debut last fall, winning an annual local rock contest, Sugar Louise has spent the winter writing songs and recording demos. They’ve also done a handful of shows, performing for over 5000 people at the city square, and playing at Storaasfestivalen, one of Norway’s biggest festivals. The latter making local music reviewer, Ole Jacob Hoel, hail the band in his editorial column.
Sugar Louise brightens up your winter darkness and light fire to your summer BBQ. With their anti-depressive 3-chord punkrock, with clear references to bands such as NOFX, The Ramones and The Boys, these Norwegians ignite the dreams of endless summer romances and bathing temperatures over 25 degrees Celsius. All year long!

Fun and fast paced Punk Rock Music
author: Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
“Baby (You Never Call Me Crazy)” is the latest CD from the edgy Punk Rock group Sugar Louise and when you hear it, you better hold on to your seats when you do. It’s definitely fast paced and has a “right in your face attitude” but with a fun, free flowing style. As you take in these songs, you’ll find this band has fun with their music and it shows. The melodies are infectious and the catchy lyrics flow with boisterous form. The opener/title cut, “Baby (You Never Call Me Crazy),” shows just what kind of energy this group can dish out. They ignite with rocking vocals, buzzing guitars, and solid pumping drum hits. The next song on this CD, “Wastin’ Summertime,” has that blistering beat and you’ll like how they change up the tempo to a groovin feel. Punk rockers will really want to check out the blazing songs of “Baby (You Never Call Me Crazy),” because you will certainly want to hear more from this talented group.
