Album Notes

The Tadcasters recorded their EP at home. This allowed them to take their time, recording between gigs and their busy schedules. The EP has a warm feeling, as if the listener is sitting in a living room hearing live acoustic music. Though the music is bluegrass, the influence and sounds of folk, jazz, blues, and rock can be heard.
Bill Littleford's years of playing jazz and acoustic rock are blended together in a unique fashion. Likewise, Nick Laboffe brings an 'outside the box' approach to the mandolin as he pays tribute to his mentors Bill Monroe and David Grisman. Matt Wiesenhahn plays both claw hammer and 'sruggs' style banjo while adding a powerful voice to the music. The blending of three different singers and the warm sound of harmonies are displayed throughout the EP.
