"Manning Her Ladyship", the debut album from San Francisco rock band The Jank, is a 14 song disc chock full of big guitars, thundering bass and pounding drums. Yet they never lose sight of pop melodies, crafting gems that love to be played loud. With the dual vocals and songwriting of guitarists Johnny Tripod and Poopy Lickles there is plenty of variety to go around. Bassist Erich Schulz and drummer Tony Corten keep the groove going, giving "Manning Her Ladyship" an intoxicating ride through the whole album.
