Album Notes

Preliminary reviews for the new CD.

"..Best of Orchestral Pieces" is not only good, it is great!"

Cincinnati.com/Arts and Entertainment

"...from the pizzicato of delicate strings in "Piano Concerto" to the dynamism and sapience of "Thundersteed", to the climactic cantata of "Waltzing with Gods", the compositions Norcross creates never fail to connect with the numinous thoughts in all of us. "The Best of Orchestral Pieces" is a fine piece of work."

The Strad Magazine

"I know of no other modern artist who can delve into so many areas and conquer what has got to be a daunting task. He(Norcross) makes it not only work, he makes it sing!"

Julian White

I think this is arguably Todd's finest work in music so far. Every time I hear it, I hear new things going on. It really reminds me of the renaissance European music period. I think it will solidify his legacy as a unique 21st century American composer.

I thought this disc would be boring, since it was orchestra music. I was most definitely wrong! I was thoroughly enthralled with the moving compositions. I would recommend this disc to anybody with high taste in music.
