Album Notes

'The Trashcan Collective' were formed in 2009 by double bassist Bruce Reid to perform and record his jazz compositions. Influenced by the American standards and great jazz composers such as Monk and Mingus, the tunes are melodic, built on strong harmonic progressions and manage to strike the balance of having a wide ranging appeal whilst still sounding original.
The Trashcan Collective core members are: Dan Berry - Tenor saxophone, Nick Fletcher - Piano/rhodes, Bruce Reid - Double bass, Martin Davies - Drums and Brian Acton - Vocals, guitar and Kaos.
