Album Notes

Audiences enjoy Trish Lester's emotional honesty and sense of humor, whether she's sharing her own material or selections from a vast repertoire of 60’s and 70’s folk and pop hits. Her original songs may remind you of such artists as John Denver, Joni Mitchell and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

"Plymouth Belvedere," her debut CD, contains 13 tracks, including 11 of her original Americana songs. Rounding out the mix are “The Water is Wide,” a traditional folk tune, and “Yosemite,” a John Lennon Songwriting contest award-winner from Rain Perry of Ojai, CA.

Lester's original works are are well-crafted and engaging, with strong images, tight lyrics and memorable melodies. Her humorous and poignant songs (she describes them as "witty and wise contemporary folk") comprise a CD that is more than entertainment – it’s a learning experience!

Production values are high on this album, recorded at Nashville Tracks Los Angeles, with the talented musicianship of veteran session players who have played for big names in the industry.

Trish is a real treasure!!
author: Dorothy & Gail Shoup
We recently discovered PLYMOUTH BELVEDERE and love the humor of songs like "It's Just a Cookie" and the title song of this CD. But we are also very moved emotionally by Trish's sensitivity in a number of little masterpieces of songwriting, such as "How Do We Go On?" and "Your Special Gift." We think that her special gift (in addition to a lovely and very pleasing voice, plus nice guitar work) is the ability to surpass just being a super performer and allow us to hear a new friend, sharing from her heart!! P.S. Kudos also to the other musicians & singers on this exceptional CD.
