Album Notes

"Try Not To Smell Like Food," was inspired by real-world advice from a forest ranger, while "I Brush Well" provides over-the-top advice that should make dentists happy. "Smoothies" discusses recovery plans for anyone who forgets to put the lid back on before pushing the button, and "I'm Really Very Sorry" describes a babysitting disaster involving cat dressing, honey in the rug and really bad places to use a hose. "Dog in Disguise" explains otherwise inexplicable misbehavior, "Anyone But Me" is one boy's tale of woe when he can't figure out how to take responsibility for his mistakes, and "Friends" shares a great misadventure with a best friend with questionable ideas about what's a good idea. "Music Maniacs" portrays one family where the appetite for music is completely out of control. "Soggy Sandwich Blues" is the tale of a boy who tells his mom a fib, only to regret it as one problem leads to another. "Pick-a-pet" provides some really terrible advice on picking pets, "Too Much Stuff" is the ballad of one boy who collected so much junk he couldn't find his way back out of his room, and "Please Don't Sneeze on the Bananas" discusses the concept of manners -- where do they come from, and can you lose them? In the full "Uncle Bunkle" show, these tunes are interspersed with equally quirky original stories and poems, presented weekly in conjunction with Uncle Bunkle teaching the Second Step violence prevention curriculum in public schools.
