Amazing debut album!!!
author: Mark Aberdeen
I found it impossible to fit Uncle Flatty's Sad Songs and Wildflowers into a category. Their sound is an ecclectic mix of genres that just seems to feel like home. The undeniable truth is that the music comes from skilled musicians that have found their stride and are going nowhere but up. I found myself completely swept away by Caroline and I couldn't help tap my toes to Whiskey Camel. The music is heartfelt and seems to capture the soul of New England, where the group calls home. If you're looking for an album that takes you places and knows how tug at your heart strings, while not forgetting to have fun, then this is the one to get. Cheers!!!

Uncle Flatty is based out of central Connecticut but their debut CD will take you on a a trip from the Green Mountains of Vermont all the way to New London , each member jumping on board as they add themselves to the journey .This awesome combination of heart felt songwriting & warm sounds are so reminiscent of The Bands ...epic.. Music from the Big Pink. This one has my thumbs up, in this age of file sharing , this is one to buy my friends !!
