Underclass UK - WORLD CUP TEARS (OF A NATION) EP
As the World Cup approaches the country adopts a predictably deluded assessment of our chances of victory.
While an ever-increasing number of songwriter’s buy into this misguided optimism.
The time has come for an alternative, a song that that delivers a refreshingly honest take on the reality of following the National side during the world’s biggest sporting occasion.
We’ve all been here before, and we’ve all seen the lurid headlines generated by the selfish antics of a group of young men with too much money and too much adulation.
Now there’s a song that acknowledges this reality...
Underclass UK deliver the good to smash a thousand dreams....
All profits from this song will go to The Bobby Moore Fund.
************************************************
Underclass UK arose from a nameless project in the 1980's featuring various N'am locals in rehearsals and Sunday Jams. The songs were worked on and constructed in a full on chaotic and riotous teenage lifestyle.
20 years later, after big life changes the songs were dusted down, re-arranged and recorded at any spare moment as a studio project.
The songs stand out as a mature Street Rock n' Roll boost of surpressed anger, with a nod a wink to all our influences from 80's Punk and Rock.
The only planned action for 2010 is the World Cup Tears EP and Promo Video. With 2008's Gratuitous album being given an online release before recording the second album, Bastard Inc.
Underclass are a live act, but gigs are rare, so be sure to check us out when we do venture out of the studio.
