Album Notes

One Guitar, Two Voices
Voxxy Vallejo began with two musicians and an online collaboration in the spring of 2007. Voxxy was in the process of relocating from Iowa to Phoenix and after 3 short months in Phoenix and 6 fully recorded/produced songs later, she decided to move to Tacoma and create music with Gene Vallejo in person and on stage.
They spent that summer as a Power Acoustic Duo in local club and coffee house open-mics and by the fall were booking their first hour set performances at local venues, quickly getting their names out there and into the local press. During this time they had made their first recordings available online and watched as many of them climbed the *charts through thousands of others to reach #1 in both Rock and Blues categories.

The Debut Album
With 6 original songs complete, Voxxy Vallejo already had half an album, and with many more already written by the end of 2007, there was enough material for more than a full CD. But with all the live performances and rehearsals…not to mention the release of their first music video, there was just no time to record and master the album. Also what they already had on record was fully produced and electric, and what they were able to do on stage with just the two of them live…. changed the direction of the album. So their Debut CD will have a variety of both electric and acoustic based music. Expect your ear to wander from blues to rock and some southern bar room get down in between. The sound and style is beautifully varied from sweet loving ballads to knock down in your face rock-n-roll…. but the voice and guitar work are unmistakably Voxxy Vallejo. The CD’s anticipated release is Oct. 2008.

Currently
Voxxy Vallejo is now a 5 piece band having added a rhythm section to their live performances, and will begin production of their second album upon the release of the first one. They are planning a 2 week tour in the summer of 2009 to promote the album and the new music abroad. Until then they will continue to perform locally, but intend to be more selective about the shows they choose, and how often they perform.
